Cowboy Poets of Utah is an organization dedicated to the preservation and creation of the history and culture of the West through story-telling, poetry, music, research, arts, and lifestyle. We welcome like-minded people, including those who perform as artists or those who simply care about the West.

Meetings & Jam Sessions

CPU holds quarterly meetings throughout the state. Each meeting usually includes a business portion, a meal, and a jam session for those artists who wish to take part.

Veterans Home Show

Saturday, 1/17/26, 7:00pm. Our annual show held at the Payson Veteran's Home and open to the public. Members donate their time to this event to honor our Veterans.

Heritage Dinner

An annual Heritage Dinner is held to honor a member who has shown dedication to our group, our mission, and their artistry.

Membership

We area actively seeking new members. Annual dues are $25 per year. An application for membership is required and can be accessed at the link below.

2025 CPU Heritage Award Winners, CR and Jeane Wood
 CR  is an award winning poet, farrier, and horseman. Jeane has been our treasurer for many years.  Together they own and operate Diamond W Auctions, which specializes in the sale of farm and ranch equipment.
