Poet - Russ Westwood

Russ Westwood was born in Moab Utah and grew up around horses and rodeos. He is a retired Firefighter/Paramedic and Travel Agent. He has served as the director of the Mesquite Western Roundup for several years and performs regularly in their shows. He recently won a Championship Buckle at the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo in Abilene Kansas. He writes some of his own poetry, but also performs the works of several of his favorite poets, including his great uncle, S. Omar Barker. Russ and his wife Marge call Mesquite Nevada home.
