Kelton Iverson was born and raised in the red dirt country of southern Utah, where he’s spent his life ranching, day working, and putting miles on good horses and a few not so good. Raising cattle ,as a third generation rancher, in the mountains of southern Utah and the deserts of northern Arizona. Though new to the cowboy poetry scene, Kelton's words ride straight out of real experience, seasoned with the dust and sweat of a working cowboy’s life.
His style tips its hat to legends like Baxter Black and Badger Clark plainspoken, punchy, and full of heart. Whether he's writing about colts that won’t quit or days that run long, Kelton brings an honest, no-frills voice to the Western tradition. He ain’t trying to be fancy just telling it like it is, one poem at a time.
