From a pioneer ranching family in Mohave County, Arizona, Kathy grew up amongst the cowboys and ranching ways of the desert cattle ranches of Northwest Arizona. In later years she engaged in feedlot operations and ranch fiscal management in Northern Nevada. She and her husband, Keith, who worked many of his younger years as a cowboy in Arizona and Northern Nevada, retired in Southern Utah six years ago. Kathy has a love of the history of the American Southwest and discovered that cowboy poetry expresses that history in the most beautiful way. She has performed at events in Utah, Nevada and Arizona.
